[alfa] re: Milano a/c

Jon,

The Milano had pretty reliable a/c, as the US cars had Behr systems, made
in Texas, I am told.

The system is pretty generic, which is good. The compressor is odd though,
it's a short Sanden. I haven't had much call for them but I'll check on the
availability of this unit.
Otherwise, use R12 if you can find it, the system is built for it, size
wise and while it will work with 134a, it may become anemic. I always found
the Milanos I owned were pretty decent for cooling the car, especially with
light window tint. Here in Florida, even the police cars have tinted glass.
It helps a great deal with the thermal load on the a/c.
