[alfa] Piston wrist pins

My #1 piston had a failure where it looked like the metal around the wrist pin holes in the piston had melted. This
resulted in a broken oil ring, 1/3 of the retaining clip was missing, and a heavily scored liner from the bits on metal.
The liner was scored on both sides in line with the wrist pin holes. I've been trying to think of an explanation for
this disintegration of the piston.

My latest is that the wrist pin was rotating within the piston due to a too tight fit of the small end of the rod to
the wrist pin. Is this even possible?
