[alfa] "Sure Start" vs TA

I'm suspecting Ron Ewing might not have a way to measure the TA or has
and it failed the test.

Several years ago I 'inherited' a '69 Spider which the client had spent
over $40k to date before sending to me to make 'everything' work and do
a bit of 'finishing up'. I was told not to touch the engine since it was
'okay'. It had a Sure Start and in my opinion and on this car, was a
piece of crap. Yeah, it helped get the car started, but there was always
the question as to when to push in the 'choke' handle. Too soon and it
would run terribly, too late, the same.

If rich (money wise) beyond (at least) in my wildest dreams and one can
afford to keep a Spica up to snuff, it is a very good system. If that's
not possible, bite the bullet and make a one time big purchase and go
Webers. Spicas are like cats and women - they don't like tightwads and
don't like to be ignored unless they're in the mood to be left alone.
