I've not yet found a nut or bolt that I can't remove -- including the crack
nut -- with a breaker bar, and occasionally a breaker bar extension
(otherwise known as a three foot length of one inch steel pipe).  If direct
force in an anticlockwise direction isn't giving you any joy, then applying
the same pressure in a clockwise direction, then reverting to anti-clockwise
tends to break the nut loose.
