RE: [alfa] GTV-6 Running out of gas - maybe
I could be mistaken (yeah, like that never happens :-), but I believe there
was a factory bulletin regarding installation of pre-pumps in 77/78 spiders.
I can say for sure that 75/76 and earlier did not have pre-pumps as the fuel
pickup came out the bottom of the tank. Only cars where the fuel supply
comes out the top of the tank would require one.

My brothers '75 Spider has a pre-pump, I'm pretty sure it's original.
I can't fault Jeff too much on this one, the symptoms described would fit
perfectly with a failed pre-pump, if indeed there was one.
I'd concur with those who suggested to try the filters, or add some dry gas.
