[alfa] 1974 GTV fuel pump festivities

the fuel pump in my 74 gtv has sprung a leak, around the electrical
connector. i am assuming that this is not repairable, that the fuel pump
must be replaced.

so i grabbed a catalog from one of the digest's fine advertisers, and
was

1) not suprised to see the that the OE spica pump is NLA

2) suprised to see the GTV-6/Milano pump specified as a
replacement

as it happens, i have a GTV-6 pump stripped from a totaled 1986
many years ago just sitting around.

can anyone speak to what needs to be done to install this pump?
i don't recall which way fuel flows through it, for one thing. the
unlabeled electrical terminals are of different sizes, suggesting
that someone cares about polarity, for another. the 6 mounting
is different from the GTV mounting, but i do have the original
GTV-6 mounting bracket available.

thanks,
  richard
