Alfa Romeo-A historical Overview
April 13, 2004 7pm
The lecture, by Jonathan Stein, will follow the historical development
of
the Giulia and Giulietta family of small sporting roadsters, coupes and
sedans. With a depth of knowledge few posses, Jonathan will guide us
through
an analysis of this particular family of desirable Italian motorcars,
giving
particular attention to the All-Alloy Twin Cams of 1954-1994 and
highlighting features of Alfa's presence in America.
An editor with Cambridge-based automotive publisher Bentley
Publishers, automotive historian Jonathan A. Stein has been writing
about cars for the past 20 years and playing with them for almost 30.
During his tenure with Bentley Publishers, the books he's edited have
Included Porsche: Excellence Was Expected, Zora Arkus-Duntov: The Legend
Behind Corvette and Corvette From The Inside. He is also the editor of
Alfa
Romeo All-Alloy Twin Cam Companion and the upcoming Corvette
Encyclopedia.
Alfa Romeo New England Chapter is expected in great numbers along with
their
individual collector cars and assembled on the lawn. Please consider
this an
early start to the events season and bring along your favorite collector
vehicle.
