[alfa] 164 Central locking problem

When I insert the key into the drivers side door lock, I cannot activate  the 
locking system.  I turn the key clockwise to lock the door but when I  move 
the key back to vertical, the system unlocks the doors.  Works fine on  the 
passenger side.  Any ideas?
