Re: [alfa] aftermarket throttle bodies
Benjamin I know the motec efi is well regarded however I bought a haltec efi
unit when I fitted my alfetta sedan with a 164 3.0lt. It is easy to use and
cost alot less than the motec. I bought it straight from the distributor in
nsw. Beninca use the carbs as throttle boddies however you are still looking
at 45mm carbs if you want to make over 160hp.
I think you also need a sensor on the flywheel for the motec, at least I
think thats what Beninca do. Even if you fitted a twinspark (which I have
done to a friends car) you would require an after market efi for any mods
because as you would know the factory system is set. Pace in melbourne is
the place to send your head for porting and so on. Vin has been doing this
for years, has a flow bench and dyno results show that he can help you build
a strong engine without spending to much.
Cheers
Dean
