Re: [alfa] 1969 Spider Ignition Switch Problem?
Latest from the bowels of the dash.
The switch is a Bosch. The terminals are located approximately at 11, 1, 3,
5, 7, and 9.
Looking from behind the switch at the terminals:
With the switch off, there is continuity between terminals 9, 11, and 1.
With the switch in the 2 o'clock position, only 9 and 11 have continuity.
With the switch at the 4 o'clock position, 7, 9, and 11 have continuity.
With the switch at the 6 o'clock position, 7,9,11, and 3 have continuity.
With the switch in start position, 5, 9, 11, and 3 have continuity.
The wires are black, red, brown, and green/black. The red and black are
slightly larger in diameter than the other two. The brown and green/black are
connected to a double male adapter, which then goes on one of the terminals.
There are numbers or lettering next to the terminals on the body of the
switch, but I can't get close enough to read them - that is without disassembling
the works. If I only hadda!
Thanks for all the suggestions.
