This is true for most conventional bushings. For example, it is important to
tighten the bolts that hold the rear trailing arms to the axle, and the body
with the weight of the car on the suspension.

However, in the case of the lower 'A' arm bushing on the front suspension of
a spider, it does not matter. These are not a conventional bushing, and the
bushing inner portion of the bushing is designed to rotate relative to the
outer portion.
