Hi,
I, like Tony, am looking to install a 2 piece manifold on my 87 spider.
My mechanic recommended either the early (71-77) or late (s4) double-Y
manifold. I am not going to remove the catalytic converter (but will
replace it with a free-flowing cat) and it is important to me to retain
the stock look. There are plenty of used 2 piece manifolds for sale.
However, I can't find a front pipe (from a 71-77) that I can weld to my
converter. Has anyone sucessfully made this modification? Thanks,
Ben
