Install HEAD GASKETS WITHOUT SEALANT!
Case closed end of story!

A neat little trick to facillitate head removal if you have to take it off at some point in the future:

Cover the length of the head studs with a thin layer of Anti-Sieze compound. It prevents the buildup of aluminum oxide and allows you to just slide the head off at your next rebuild.

You don't want to slop it on and get it all over the head gasket but a little tab will do.
