[alfa] Re: Spider Clutch Issue
My first action would be to change the clutch hose. My 93 Spider had a
similar experience a couple of years ago and I replaced the hose and all
the fluid. Problem fixed.
YMMV but odds are its a good start.

Subject: [alfa] Spider Clutch Issue
Gang:
I have a 1986 Spider with 166K miles on it.
I have a very intermittent, but unnerving problem.
Occasionally, I'll depress the clutch pedal, and it will stay down.
Immediately, I'll press down again, and it always comes up properly.
It's unnerving because sometimes it happens, say, when I am
downshifting to enter a stream of traffic. At those times I wish I was
wearing brown trousers. (grin)
It tends to happen only when the weather is hot, and I have been
driving for some time. It happens on both upshifts and downshifts. Once
it happens, it won't happen again for some time.
Clues?
