[alfa] 164 radiators
Like most modern cars the 164 uses an aluminum core with plastic end tanks
and neoprene gaskets. Rebuilding these is a waste of time, they are
designed to be discarded (the aluminum can be recycled). Old cores are
going to be scaled inside at least a bit. Old tanks are petrified and
brittle. Old gaskets fail. Putting new end tanks and gaskets on an old core
is a recipe for disaster.
Besides the new rads are single row and more effective than the original
double row rads found in 91 and older 164.
Cheers
