[alfa] Re: Why won't it run the way it should?

Doug,

Sounds like the SPICA is out of adjustment.

Do you have Wes Ingram's SPICA booklet? It's called "Manual for Alfa Romeo
SPICA Fuel Injection" and available through Wes' website (www.wesingram.com).
$23 and worth every penny. Get one and loan it to your mechanic if you don't
turn the wrench yourself.

I'm fortunate enough to have Wes' shop in my backyard and I bought the
booklet. I use it, at Wes' suggestion, to set up and troubleshoot the SPICA in my
car BEFORE I call him. He suggests this to others, too. I'm not just special to
him. :-)

Make sure you pick one up, set up the SPICA system per the instructions, then
wonder why you haven't spent more time on the road with your spider.

Also, the Oregon club (AROO) has a great SPICA web page at:
http://www.alfaclub.org/techstff/tunespca.htm
No special tools required for this set of tune up procedures.

Did I mention that you should pick up a copy of Wes' SPICA booklet?

Wes sells a DynoGraph, a device that uses an O2 sensor to display the exhaust
gas mixture graphically on a series of colored LEDs. It really helps dial in
the mixture.

Also, you should pick up a copy of his SPICA booklet.
