    It's preferable to have the tweeters at ear level, but hard to
accomplish in a car.  The interesting thing is that your ears will often
"correct" the soundstage and it will appear to be at ear level.

    You might want to check out some of the higher quality coaxial systems
available today.  Choose a system that is appropriate for your mounting
(sealed enclosure or free air) and you'll have a very listenable system
without having to mess with rear speakers.

    It sounds like this crossover is an "active" crossover you put in the
signal path, don't forget that high quality coaxials and separates have
"passive" crossovers that you'll need to mount in the kick panels or under
the dash.
