[alfa] Re: ignition timing



No, it's not 180 degrees off, but 90 degrees.  And
it's TDC for cylinder 1, with the cam lobes pointing
out.

I know I can re-route the leads, but I'm trying to
figure out what's wrong, in case it's something that
will cause other problems.

Mark the drive gear on the end of the distributor can
be rotated 180
degrees. Not sure what you did but it sounds like you
set the engine up 
on
tdc at number four pot. That will not matter however
the distributor is 
now
180 degrees out. Just double check the engine is
firing number 1 
cylinder
and the cam lobs are pointing outward. There is
nothing wrong with just
re-routing the ignition leads if you want.
