[alfa] S Cams and S Pistons in Verde

I've hit a crossroads in the rebuilding of my Verde's engine. It appears that
at some time, the engine was run low on oil and fouled the main bearings as
well as the rod bearings. In addition, both heads have two of the exhaust
tappets galled and the cam lobes on both cams show pitting/wear as well. Need
new cams.

Since I'm in this deep already, I've decided to get new pistons/liners as
well. Hell, at this point what's another $600...

Therefore, here's my questions for those in the know: Living in California,
what's the effect on smog if I went with both S pistons/liners (10:1 CR) and S
cams in my Verde? Is this a 'No way you'll pass smog, dude", or is there
someone out there who has built such an engine and had good results? It's
interesting that none of the usual suspects list Verde stock cams in their
catalogs, makes one wonder if they're even available. Anyone know if they
are?

Thanks in advance for the advice, I'm taking tons of pictures and will soon be
putting up a page on my site detailing the ordeal.

BTW, I still haven't found any Milano engine mounts. If anyone knows of any,
I'd sure love to hear about it...
