 Ethan,

You should have mentioned this earlier. I had similar
problems with +4s in my Verde. It was easy to pin them on
the plugs, since it got immediately worse when I swapped
them in. I ditched them, and put in some Lodges and all
 was better.

I've never seen engines so picky about plugs as alfa
engines. Or maybe I've never seen plugs as shitty as the
Bosch Platinum series. Years ago I put the then new
Platinums in my carb'd spider. Wow, did they suck, a set
of el-cheapo Champions replaced them with much better
 effect.

I guess the real question is why in the hell did I ever
 consider buying Bosch plugs again?

Well, I was gonna stay outta this, but...

:)

As a 'nother data point, I've been using +4's for about 15 years ( since they came on the scene in the late 80's/early 90's ), am perfectly happy with them.
They replaced Lodges, and NGK's, and ( IMHO ) are superior to them in my application. The motor is essentially stock 2.0l ( opened airbox and exhaust ), L-Jet.
This will change, and the initial fit will be +4's until it coughs and stutters like a V6, in which case, the issue will be revisited.

There, I feel better now.
