Karl,

I had the tranny redone in my '87 Spider. The only problems i've had with 
the driveshaft since was a shattered guibo -- made one hell of a noise whith 
the bolts bouncing around against the end of the tranny.  I digress... 
point: no bad driveshaft nosie anymore! which leads me into your problem...
An easy way to get rid of your driveshaft noise is to trade your Spider with 
mine.  :)  Mine doesn't make any weird *driveshaft* noises, and i'll gladly 
suffer through your driveshaft problem instead of all the ones that mine so 
lovingly has.  You know, just to help you out.  :)
