John,
I believe that us the fuse for the auxilary fan for the air conditioner mounted in front of the radiator.
In an emergency, since it is the same as the fuel pump fuse on the passenger side package shelf, you have a replacement to get you home.

Can anyone tell me what is protected by the 8A fuse that is tucked 
against the front right fender on a Spider Veloce? The fuse holder is 
tube-shaped. A/C ?
