I have a special case which I will not detail here. I want the alarm for
when the car is parked at night and will radio link the alarm to my bedroom.
I understand the concerns about alarms while parked in public territory
arguments.
As far as what happens in your neck of the woods, do not assume that it is
the same everywhere. I do not live in an urban setting.
The passive arming function is to placate my insurance company - I do not
have to "lock and arm the alarm" unless I deem it wise to do so.
