[alfa] 164 question

I have a 164, S model.


Here are the symptoms:

Difficult to start (opening throttle helps)
Hunting at idle - fluctuates 600-1000rpm
Hunting at highway rpm - and sometimes it feels like
it stumbles?
Check engine light comes on when at idle

There is a small exhaust leak between the cat and the
baffle- one of the pipes won't seal correctly.

What should I do to fix the problem? Where should I
begin looking?
