[alfa] Re: gtv6 & maserati khamsin

While I think the similarity is more Alfetta coupe than GTV-6, I too have been struck by the similarity. I'd agree that the Maserati looks more exotic, but I'm not sure if it's aged better. I've always thought that it looked just like a squashed Alfetta GT, at least in profile. (I think it even uses the same exterior door handles as the Alfetta coupe.) I saw one in a museum, but there are two versions of the rear end, and I've never seen both side-by-side, nor do I know which came first. I believe the Khamsin came out a couple years before the Alfetta, and that it was a Bertone design. I have to wonder (I'm sure someone less lazy could move beyond wondering and actually look it up) if Giugiaro was still working at Bertone when the Khamsin was penned.

Subject: [alfa] gtv6 & maserati khamsin

I saw a picture of the Maserati Khamsin on the web
today. It looks a lot like my gtv6. Has anyone ever
driven or seen one in real life? Although it shares a
lot of the lines as my gtv6, it looks more exotic and
seems to have aged better. What do you all think?
