Hello All..
I've been having idle problems.. in that I get a rough idle over a
period of time. Seems like the throttle
sync between the two pairs of butterflys. I have been adjusting them,
then they seem to go out of whack,
or possibly it could be another problem. Seems like I can re-adjust
them, they'll be OK for a while, then
they go out again. This has been a slight problem in the past that has
grown a lot recently.
I have been trying the "use pieces of paper as feeler gauges" method to
try to shed some light on this, it seems that setting the two inner (#2
and #3) cylinders sometimes leaves the two outers NOT synced. So, I'm
wondering if my bushings are bad, or the butterflys can get off
centered. I seem to feel some play on the outer two bushings, and not
the inner ones.. Or just something wrong in the center sync adjustment
area?
Anyone had problems like this? Anyone replaced the bushings, or the
seals in this area? (thinking that leaking air might be a partial
source of problems here, too) Can you still get them?
Haven't had the time to pull the whole throttle assy to check it on the
bench..
Thanks..
Jon
