It's likely apocrypha, but a small ray of sunshine nevertheless. OTOH, 
Lucca di Montezemmalo (head of Ferrari, now president of FIAT) has 
always maintained that were he in charge, Alfas would be returned to 
the US market ASAP. So maybe good things are afoot.
