You didn't indicate a price range, but I'd suggest looking at a 2001-03 BMW
5-series.  Clearly, this won't be the biggest bang for the buck, but it's a
reliable car (especially the 530) that can be given a sporty enough attitude
and still be a functional 4-door sedan.

For those 164 owners who want to sell their cars, I would like to know what
you are considering as a replacement.  There are a few good sedans on the
market but I'm wondering if you can get the same bang for the buck and fun
factor compared to a 164S/LS/Q model.
