Re: [alfa] 164 LS Sparkplugs & Battery
Bob-
Can't help you on the spark plug note, other to say that I just stuck
some NGKs and a set of Magnecor wires (thanks AlfaBill!) in my Spider
and couldn't be happier. As far as your battery is concerned, you
didn't say the age but it may very well be just time for a new one. If
this is the case, your local Kragen/Checker/Pep Boys/Auto Zone will
test it for free. If you need a new battery, I'd recommend dropping the
extra $50 or so and stepping up to an Optima gel battery. I love mine,
and won't let anything else power my baby (and its sound system, and
its hopped up alternator, and its hopped up headlights, which helped
blow the old alternator...).

While on the subject of starting and running, my current battery
doesn't want to perform according to my expectations. Again, once the
car is running, all is fine. Holding and maintaining a charge, seems
to be a challenge. Recommendations????
