[alfa] Leatherique! Door Panels?

Hey all.  Just spent a few days restoring the leather on my 164S using
AlfaBill's Leatherique rejuvenator and dye, etc.  The seats look 1000 times
better than they did, and now I am bothered my the faded leather in my door
panels.  My question for you is: What is the best way to get the door panels
off of the car and the leather separated?

I am asking this question because I have had BAD experiences with door panels
before.  So your input is very appreciated.
