[alfa] George's GTV6 termal switch mystery

Another possibility is that the thermal switch is defective. You didn't
mention if it's an aftermarket switch or the stock GTV-6 switch that goes in
the radiator, but I don't think it matters.
I also immediately thought the new switch must be defective. But then I
think I recall George tried more than once with the same result. Almost as an
aferthought, he added this trouble began after he had the engine cleaned.
That is probably the culprit. Look for a bad ground or flaky connection
revealed when the protective and valuable dirt and grime were removed. I also had
something of a similar situation once on the passenger-side fan on the GTV6
which turned out to be a worn out motor bushing.
Good luck!
