[alfa] Re: Brake Light Upgrade

Dan,
I had the same problem a few years back when I first acquired my Duetto.
I did a couple of things that seem to help. First, being the cheap sucker
that I am, I glued aluminum foil, shiny side out inside the brakelight
housings for better reflection. Then I mounted a third brake light from an
Chrysler product convertable just behind the forward lip of the trunk lid.
(You could probably mount a rig like that on a big refrigerator magnet to make
it removeable for show).
I have had many people ask me if it was original equipment in '67 so I
guess it doesn't look all that bad.
If anyone would like to see a picture of the 3rd lite, please contact me
off-line and I'll gladly send you one.

Subject: [alfa] Re: Brake Light Upgrade

Greetings to all Alfisti,

I too have had that sick feeling as newer vehicles close in on me with the
weak brake lights in my Duetto. I have also had irate drivers yell at me to
use my turn signals when they are on! Has anyone found an auxiliary light that
could be temporarily mounted at the top of the trunk opening? It would be a
worthwhile safety feature, but I would prefer something easily removable for
those times I attend club events.
