Sounds to me like you're a victim of FLAPS (Friendly Local Auto Parts 
Store) Stupidity. I use Gunk Engine Brite and have done so since I 
first started spraying goo into engine compartments. It comes in 
original and extra-foamy, and last time I got it was at Carr Parts in 
Santa Cruz. But I've picked it up at Kragen as well. Simple Green is 
also still available, though I've always been a Gunker myself.
