[alfa] Re: Fuel Smell in 105/115 GTV
I have some experience in this matter. Here are two ideas: 1. Check the
rubber seal on the inside of the gas cap. If this is missing or worn out you
will get plenty of fumes. 2. Check the rubber boot that seals around the
filler neck and seals off fuel filling area from the trunk. If this is cracking
and you spill a bit a fuel at fill up you will end up with fuel in the trunk.
My brother's GTV had both problems and we completely eliminated the problem by
replacing both items.e
