Randy,
    The secret is heat.  The warmer the fabric, the more you can stretch it.  
Do the job in the sun.  If that's not enough, try a hair dryer or heat lamp 
(but be careful not to burn the fabric).  I've seen upholstery shops use a 
steam gun to get the fabric nice and pliable.

I am installing a new Robbins sunfast top on my 73 spider. Can anyone tell me 
how to get the canvas to stretch properly over the header bow? There just 
does not seem to be enough material to properly fit. Any tips?
