[alfa] Re: Moved from Seattle to SF

Can't address repair shops actually IN the city, but I can tell you that you have landed amongst one of the best Alfa Romeo clubs in the known the World. The Alfa Romeo Association of San Francisco. We aren't associated with the AROCA, but are an independent organization with our own excellent magazine and we have great activities (and our dues are cheaper than the AROC at $35/year). I'd like to personally invite you to our monthly meeting on Wednesday, November 3, 2004 at Peter's cafe in Millbrea.

It's easy to get to. Head south past the Airport on US 101. Take a right on Millbrea Ave. Head west toward the mountains for about a half of a mile, then turn right onto El Camino Real and IMMEDIATLY turn right again into the parking lot of Peter's Cafe which is right on the corner of Millbrea Ave and El Camino. You literally cant miss it. Once in the building, turn left at the cash register, and left again through the double white doors into the meeting room. You should find it full of Alfisti. The meeting starts at 8:00, but if you arrive early, you can order dinner. Peter's is relatively cheap cafe food with all that suggests.

If you show up next Wednesday, you'll learn more about our last tour of the year to California Wine country. It promises to be a great event, and there's no better way to get your feet wet with a new club and meet some nice folks. Believe me, we've got plenty of those.

Subject: [alfa] Moved from Seattle to SF

Hi all--I have finished my move from Seattle to San Francisco, and
am back on the list. The Spider performed flawlessly on the drive down,
though it is kind of tiring to drive that car for eight hours at a stretch
at 75-80 mph.
I am looking forward to learning about Alfa activities here--we had
a great club in Seattle, though I didn't have the time to get as involved as
I wanted. First, though, what's the best place to take the car ('92 Spider
Veloce) for work? She needs nothing right now, but . . .. I live in the
Haight or Cole Valley, depending on who you talk to. Thanks!
