There are a few key places to look. Some ore obvious, others are not.
The obvious are, around the front and rear glass (check under the rubber
window trim), the bottoms of the doors, under the body cladding in the
rocker panels. The less obvious gotchas are the spaces behind the front
wheels (drill the rivets out, replace with screws and clean regularly
once the car is yours), the underbody (remember this is a unit body,
rust on frame members is _bad bongos_), and as it's an Alfa, basically
everywhere else. The only real gotcha on most of the GTV-6s I've
encountered is the rear hatch and behind the front wheels, the rest of
the stuff is pretty obvious to a visual inspection.

I'm currently Alfa-less and virtually all of my past Alfa experience is
with Bosch-injected Spiders, but a coupe or sedan would better suit me
now.

I've read about all that I could find on the internet regarding buying a
GTV6, but there has been relatively little about specific rust issues
with the car.  I've located a GTV6 (w/ parts car!) which seems quite
solid (albeit w/ badly oxidized original paint) but I just wanted to tap
the collective knowledge of the AD regarding on what may lie beneath.
In what hidden areas does rust tend to lurk on these cars, especially
that of a structural nature?
