Hi Bill,
	Check out the Shell distributor locator at 
<http://www.shell-lubricants.com/distributors.php> to find a 
distributor. Here in New Jersey I got a five gallon drum of Dentax 
80W-90 at Neslo Petroleum Products (<http://neslopetroleum.com/>) for 
something like $35. Don't know where you are located, but if you're 
local, you're more than welcome to some of mine--five gallons fills a 
lot of gearboxes.
	 I'm fairly certain the previous owner had an EP lubricant in the 
gearbox (a '66 Duetto, same style synchros as your gearbox), and I 
personally feel that the Dentax made a difference. Of course I replaced 
the oil shortly after buying my car, which was also my first Alfa, so 
it could be that I just got used to the 'box rather than the oil having 
anything to do with it.
