I heard that there were no GT Juniors with 1750cc engines. The biggest were
1600cc, hence the term "Junior". Was it only the smaller engine displacement
that classified the GT Jrs??
The 1600 Juniors, both Spiders and GTs, were produced in 1972. Juniors had a
different level of trim and varied in styling details. For example, when
GTVs had four front lights, The Juniors had only two. When 1st series GTs had
multiple bar grilles, GT Juniors had a single horizontal bar. The first series
step-nose body remained on the GT Junior a couple of years after the regular
GTs were restyled, although they had the new interior. Juniors were never
officially imported to the USA. Couldn't say about Canada. I'm pretty sure there
was never a 1750 Junior.
Hope this helps,
Bob A.
