Re: [alfa] Bosch air hose (164S)

Rumor has it that Difatta will now supply an adapter to shorten the
distance between the AFM and the plenum - allowing the use of an LS
hose. I've not had to resort to this, but the reaction from those who
have seems positive.

Well I've tried to get that hose from an authorized alfa dealer here in
Slovenia(EU), but as mentioned, they said it was discontinued - that
really shocked me. So when I compared it to the normal 3.0L V6 I found
out the S (called QV here) hose has a bigger diameter on the AFM side as
the AFM is bigger and has higher air flow. So I thought about making one
from metal(Alu or Stainless), but I had luck and found a used one on an
Italian junkyard.
So as mentioned before, it is possible to make it from metal and use
silicone or rubber coupling or hump hose, to couple it with the plenum
and AFM.
