i'm having trouble locating a second version/'86 speedo trans sender
. any leads? suggestions? george
Speaking of GTV6 speedo problems, I have one too on my 86.
Mine stopped working after being increasingly intermittent
for a while. I swapped the head with one from my parts car
that I was quite sure worked, and that didn't help.
My mechanic swapped the sender with 2 different ones from APE,
and that didn't work either.
He thinks the problem is in the head. I'm pretty confused.
Could it be the wires? Is there anything else between the
sender and display unit that could go wrong?
Unfortunately, I sold the parts car between then and now
(Hi Rob!) so I can't recheck the head unit swap. But it's
hard to imagine I messed up: there's only one connector to
the unit.
A probably irrelevant observation is that part of hte lighting
in the speedo display didn't work when I got the car.
Any ideas?
