Maybe there were model year differences, but I've heard owners complain about having to synch 6 carbs. The procedure is pictured on this web site http://www.movit.de/htm/alf6carb.htm and it looks like 6 single-throat carburetors to me.

I checked up on this after the first time someone suggested 6 single-throat
Dellortos: not true. The detailed cutaway factory drawings clearly show 3
twin-chokes were used on the Alfa 6.
