Re: [alfa] Veloce or Not (1991)?

Hi Paul,

In the Series 4 Spider, 1991-1994, the only differences between the
Veloce and standard Spider were cosmetic/trim. All performance
figures and mechanical equipment were identical. Key indicators for
the Veloce are:
1. leather w/ suede inserts on seats, [rather than vinyl with pseudo-suede]
2. 15" "phone dial" alloy wheels standard, [rather than std steel w/
"phone dial" plastic caps, or optional 5-spoke "Daytona-style" wheels,
both 14"]
3. "hard" rear tonneau cover [boot] for the over the folded top,
enclosing a zippered area behind the seats, [rather than the soft
clip-on cover that leaves the area behind the seats open for
groceries]
4. raised chrome studs in the trim pieces ahead of the trunk hinge
area that serve as anchor points for the optional factory hard top
[also use to anchor the aforementioned hard boot], Spider has flush
bolts in this trim piece
5. and finally, Veloce lettering on driver's side rear.

HTH :-)
