Roger Hambro states: Removed cams and followers - The underside of 2 of
the cam followers had a groove worn into the ID around the inside
circumference. It appears that the top of the valve springs which are
visible sticking out a bit beyond retainers wore a groove into the
follower ID.

A valve spring sticking up enough to wear a groove in the underside of
the cam follower / bucket? Quite amazing. Whilst I don't mean to
disparage Asian products and feel the Chinese items have improved
immensely in the past few years...but were these valve springs purchased
from a tiny province in China about 15 years ago? Or were the inner &
outer springs, valve keepers, and retainers improperly assembled?
