[alfa] Blinker switch getting old in my Milano, how 2 fix?

Hi,

I have an 88 Milano Verde. The blinker lever is now sometimes refusing to 
stay up when I want to turn right. Is this something that can be fixed? Or 
do I need to replace something in the steering column?

Your thoughts would be appreciated.
