[alfa] alfa's in n/a, fwd vs rwd, etc

hi all,

well i certainly would love to buy an alfa brera.
but, even if i lived in europe, i wouldn't be holding
my breath for that one either.

re: infiniti/nissan dealerships - if they suck, then
it should only replicate the alfa dealership
experience... ;~)

re: fwd vs rwd, ya know, i don't really care if new
fwd cars *can* outperform new rwd ones. it's the
*feel*...

i really find it kinda amusing, this alfa thing.
folks on this list want 'em here in the usa, but they
want 'em cuz they're rare, unique - oddities... of
course it doesn't hurt that they're fun to drive,
either. but, if alfa were to become successful in the
usa, then all its appeal would disappear for us, for
two reasons - they would no longer be unique (opposite
of "sucessful"), and, in order to be succesful, they
would have to appeal to non-enthusiasts. kinda
reminds me of what yogi berra said about rugerio's
restaurant, in st louis - "nobody goes there anymore,
it's too crowded..." ;~)
