[alfa] RENU gas tank experiment

I'm having the GTV's SPICA gas tank done by a local RENU (Rockville, Md)
tank shop. The tank has pinholes in the bottom (soldered over by me) and
copious rust on the inside to where I was going thru tank filters at the
rate of one a week. The tank from a 1750 GTV fits but the filler neck makes
filling the tank a real PITA.

I took it in on Friday and got a Cook's tour of the place and the process.
Since they coat both the inside and outside, there is little chance that the
metal will continue to rust since it is not exposed to the air; they have a
lifetime guarantee. It requires them to cut holes in the sides of the tank
to facilitate blasting the inside. They claim that the horizontal baffle
plate and the interior plumbing are not a problem. The black exterior
coating can be painted over. Should be done this week and once I get it
installed and running for awhile, I'll report back.
