RE: [alfa] 105 axle oil seals

Thanks for the help and suggestions. The job came off without a hitch and I
put a new seal kit through the rear calipers while I was at it. This time I
cleaned the calipers up with methylated spirits and fine scotchbrite pad
which I must say is much easier than cleaning with brake fluid.

Dean,
    That's about all there is to it.  Just make sure you get the new seal in
straight and don't cock it.  While you have things apart, check the bearing
to
make sure it isn't worn out and that is what caused the seal to go.

I have oil running down the inner side of the rear disc dust shield on my
105. I am assuming this means an oil seal has gone at the end of the axle
tube. Is this a fairly straightforward job to replace once the disc assembly
is off or are special tools required?
