[alfa] replacing upper A-arm bushing, GTV6

Is it possible to replace the upper A-arm bushing on a GTV6 without
disconnecting the A-arm at the ball join? I am planning on replacing the
bushings with the two-piece polyurethane ones that do not require a press
to install.
If I am forced to separate the ball joint to remove the A-arm, do I need a
special tool to do this?
