The wife wants a sporty 2 door (she doesn't want a 3 series) and she didn't
like the 91 850i she used to have (seats not comfortable for her small frame
and lots of trouble ($$$) with the car!). I was thinking of a S500 or S600
used 94-95 coupe as she needs a back seat for our 7 year old daughter.
Anyone have one of these or know about them or know someone who's been happy
with one? The S600 coupe seemed neat, exclusivity and all, but they are big
bucks used! Too bad they don't lose value as fast as the bimmers do...
With 50,000 - 75,000 miles, I've seen them around $40,000. The S500's are
more reasonable (8 cyl vs the big 12 cyl in 600) at around $33,000 - $35,000
for a 94-95 year car. She likes white. Any thoughts? The kicker here, is
that I'd have to sell my 88 911 just to get her into this car, as we want to
pay cash. Her's is worth about $17,000 (she paid $30k 3 years ago - ouch)
and my 911 is $21,000 (paid $24,800 3 years ago). No flames, please.....
I'm just trying to get her a nice coupe that won't break down and has a
desireous appeal! Why BMW doesn't make a 5 series coupe - I don't get it.
